Brianna Wedeward, SWLC

I would describe myself as a bit of an eclectic person and a life-long learner- my personal philosophy is to live life in an authentic way while minimizing harm to others and nature. In my personal life, I enjoy adventuring in the wilderness, running, cross country skiing, playing guitar, knitting and other crafts, and spending time with friends, family, and my cat, Cordie.

Who I work with

AdultsI specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and phase-of-life changes. I have worked with adults of all ages, ranging from young adults to older adults. My areas of interest include neurodiversity, gender, and identity. I am a queer and BIPOC-allied provider.

Children –Additionally, I work with children ages 7 and older who may be experiencing signs of anxiety, depression, or who have experienced trauma. I enjoy helping children learn about their emotional world and provide tools for helping them manage emotions.

My Philosophy

I believe that connection is a tool for overall wellness and is essential to mental and emotional well-being. I place high value in helping individuals honor and strengthen their connection to themselves, others, and the natural world. In my practice I utilize a relational approach, helping individuals identify their inherent strengths and keeping a client-centered approach to the therapeutic process. I utilize modalities based in mindfulness and awareness of the mind-body connection, as well as experiential therapies. In the therapeutic relationship, I work with the client to co-create a space that is safe, non-judgemental, and unique to the needs of the individual.

“The mystery of life isn’t a problem to solve, but a reality to experience”
