Alyse Reynolds, LCSW
I grew up in Knoxville, TN, and found my way out west at age 22. I moved around Wyoming and Colorado before finding myself feeling most at home here in Bozeman. In my spare time, I love to go on hikes with my little beagle Saydie in the summer and ski in the winter. I teach yoga and make sure to get on my mat whenever I can. I am a huge film buff and love watching and discussing different films with friends.
Who I work with
Individuals – I work with young adults and adults who may be experiencing phase of life changes, anxiety, depression, trauma, dissociation, suicidality, and self-harming behavior. I also have experience in substance use and abuse. I feel that coming from a place of inner strength and safety building can help create a foundation for self-compassion, care, and new beginnings.
Groups – Giving individuals the space to learn from one another in groups while having a safe place to be vulnerable can be a powerful force in healing. Group work helps people feel a sense of community and can help one feel less isolated and more supported in whatever the journey may be.
My Philosophy
The world can be a joyful yet overwhelming place. Traumatic experiences can make us feel stuck, lost in a dark forest wading through the trees. Having someone walk alongside you as you process these experiences helps light shine through the leaves and forges a new pathway forward. All of our experiences are a part of our story, but they do not have to define our story and who we are.
I utilize mindfulness and traditional cognitive techniques while helping one gain awareness and understanding of somatic and nervous system responses. I feel that integrating physical awareness with cognitive processing helps individuals grow through a mind and body connection.

Where I Trained
I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Auburn University in Alabama. After several years working and traveling, I returned to school and received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver in Colorado in 2019. I have additional training certifications in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), dissociative assessments and interventions, and attachment, regulation, and competency for adolescents and families (ARC). I am currently in my beginning I somatic experiencing training here in Bozeman. I also have my RYT 200 certification in yoga.
